Rainbow Transformation Ministries was founded in 2016 by Joel and Cindy Incorvaia. Cindy and Joel live near San Diego, California and have been active in various aspects of ministry since becoming Christians in the early 1970’s during the Jesus Movement. In 1999 they started ministering to female prisoners at Rainbow Conservation Camp, a minimum security fire fighting camp in San Diego County, California. Working with prisoners gave them a heart for the broken and marginalized people of this world and a desire to see their lives transformed by the unrelenting love of God for his sons and daughters. In 2008 Cindy and Joel went on their first mission trip to Colombia and realized that God was also calling them to bring his transforming love to the nations. Since then, they have ministered in the nations of Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia, Mexico, India, Uganda and Kenya. Since 2012, Joel and Cindy’s international ministry has focused on the nation of Kenya in conjunction with Harvest International Ministry (HIM), which has a network of over 2,000 churches in the nation. Twice a year, they help lead mission teams of up to 30 people to train and equip indigenous pastors and church leaders through various leadership conferences and to minister the love of God in schools, orphanages, prisons, and women and men involved in the tourist sex trade in the coastal region of east Kenya.

Beginning in 2017, Cindy and Joel also started putting on special one week pastor and church leader retreats in both west and east Kenya which are limited to 25 people and focus on issues of the heart, including understanding their identity in Christ, experiencing the love of our heavenly Father, living as sons and daughters of God, walking in forgiveness, receiving healing for past emotional wounds and trauma, and experiencing God’s provision in every area of their lives. Joel and Cindy strongly believe that as the leaders in the indigenous church experience freedom and healing in their personal lives they will be empowered to transform a nation.

In 2016 Joel and Cindy formed Rainbow Transformation Ministries, a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation to facilitate and grow the ministry both internationally and in the U.S. The organization has received tax exempt status from both the IRS and state of California. In chapter 9 of Genesis, God used the rainbow as a sign to Noah of his eternal covenant and promise to bless, increase and nurture his children. This covenant of love is what brings empowerment and transformation to all who come to their heavenly Father. This transforming love is the heart of Rainbow Transformation Ministries.
